Our Process
Relationships and knowledge are the foundations upon which we build every client portfolio. We first get to know you, your current situation and your aspirations for the future. A 25-year-old early in his or her career has different financial needs and plans than new parents in their thirties or a couple with adult children looking toward retirement. This is the first step in custom-designing a financial pathway to get you there.
When you come to us we ask you to:
- Provide us with all your current finances – bank accounts, investments, etc. – allowing us to perform an in-depth analysis of your income and both current and projected expenses.
- Share with us your financial goals for the future – college funding, a second home, retirement – and your timeline.
- Tell us your tolerance for risk.
In addition, we offer a 360 degree menu of financial products – such as investment tools, fixed income options and annuities – we use to create and manage your portfolio. We earn no commission on these products and serve simply as your guide. Our compensation is a negotiated fee based on a percentage of your account value on a quarterly basis. All accounts are custodied at Fidelity Investments.
Our Services
Investment Management
Creation and ongoing management of your portfolio within the agreed upon parameters. Choosing the investment options best suited for your plan and managing them over time, such as when to buy and when to sell. Keeping you informed about all activity.
Management of the fixed income portion of your portfolio, including consideration of tax ramifications. Determining the best mix of fixed income versus other investment options for that time period and adjusting when necessary.
Planning for your retirement based on your aspirations, considering both current and projected expenses – how much you will need to achieve your dream. We use Money Guide Pro, which is rated as one of the best retirement planning tools in the industry by Software Survey Report. This allows us to show you what you should expect in the future.
Partner with Trust & Estate Planning Professionals
We partner with trusted estate and tax attorneys who will guide you through the Estate Planning process, including setting up a trust, if needed, and creating or reviewing a will.
Education Planning
Allowing you to save for your child’s college tuition starting now with a 529 UTMA/UGMA college savings plan, thereby maximizing the value of your savings. Enabling both parents and grandparents to contribute.
Our co-principal Marjorie Netkin is licensed for both health & life insurance and offers these products as a sole proprietor.
As an added value to our clients, she determines whether annuities are a good fit for your portfolio and, if so, which ones.
